About

Hey, I'm Liz Martinez đź‘‹

I design content and systems for complex products and public health services,
so teams can ship with confidence and users can follow through.

My path started on retail floors and in district operations at Verizon, where I learned how real people talk about complex products—and what gets lost when the message doesn't meet them there. At Zoom, I led onboarding content, shaped product language used by millions, and built frameworks that helped product, design, and engineering teams ship with more confidence.

At Skylight, I work in civic tech, helping teams build technology that improves public health services. It's the same craft, just in a space where clarity and trust matter even more.

My sweet spot is where strategy, language, and design overlap—especially when the problem is messy, high-stakes, or stretched across teams and platforms. Whether it's interface copy, stakeholder communications, or internal documentation, the goal is usually the same:

Reduce friction, clarify intent, and make complex systems easier to use and easier to trust.

I think in systems, but write for people. I like frameworks that scale without sounding corporate, and stay close to product and design partners so content decisions hold up after the workshop ends.

Bring me in when the language is inconsistent, content is slowing a launch down, or a team needs help making a complex product feel usable to the people who depend on it.

Based in Grand Junction, Colorado. When I'm not working, I'm usually golfing, recharging with my family, or tinkering with better ways to work. I care about thoughtful communication and love building content that works hard for users and teams alike.
